The images Between Land and Sea are part of an ongoing collection of work looking at natural horizons, places on the edge of a changing landscape.
The focus here is the salt mash and gravel beach, the intertidal landscape and alien coloured plants weaving in and out of it.
I am interested in those in-between places, where there is a transformational element, where one thing is waiting to become another. My fascination is not only the changing landscape but the falling light and how our eyes perceive the changes in colour. The pictures here have been captured at twilight; on the cusp of darkness. The bizarre colours fade and enrich, taking on additional hues, this is a place where the camera struggles. Where land meets sea, where day meets night; this ever changing and beguiling shadow time is often strange and beautiful.
